No Such Thing as Mistakes

This adorable little girl is my cousin Kylie. I was out on a photo shoot with the entire family on Easter Sunday. The girls were dressed in their lovely Easter outfits. Sunset was swiftly approaching creating the beautiful backlighting in this image. The scene was set to get a shot of Kylie running toward the camera when she suddenly lost a shoe. My first response was to retake, but then after a quick glance in the view finder, I knew that this was a keeper. I could not have planned it better.
